An Explanation of the Zone Technique

The Zone Technique is based on the idea that the human body is made up of six zones. The six zones are:

  • Eliminative
  • Digestive
  • Glandular
  • Circulatory
  • Muscular
  • Nervous

This technique states that any physical pain in your body is caused by disorders in one or more of the six zones. The theory behind this is that everyone's brain has various centers that help the human body function. In the center of the human brain is a motor cortex that tells your muscles what to do. This is also the part of the brain that controls the internal fluids our bodies use. When we experience pain, it is because there is a disturbance in the center of our brain. These disturbances are caused by stress, whether it's physical, emotional, or chemical.

Executing the Zone Technique

Zone Technique chiropractic care begins with our chiropractor examining the parts of your head. They will feel certain points to determine where the problem is. The six points they check each correspond to one of the zones in your body. Your nerves connect to each of the six zones. Anytime the brain sends a compromised signal to one of the zones, anything in that zone will be compromised.

Our chiropractor can heal compromised zones by stimulating different parts of your spinal cord. Six areas of the spine correspond to the six zones of your body. When our chiropractor stimulates the points along your spinal cord that are associated with your pain, the pain begins to dissipate. The act of stimulating these points brings energy to the corresponding part of your brain. This makes it possible for your brain to send out the signals that your body needs to recover.

The stimulation of any of the six zones leads to benefits including a stronger immune system, a more effective response to allergens, quicker recovery from injuries, improved blood sugar levels, a better sense of balance, and a healthy flow of blood through your body.
